This exhibition was part retrospective, part harbinger of things to come — an eclectic blend of decorative and sometimes functional objects in a variety of media. Some pieces were serious, some were simply fun, all were expressions of different moments in time. It was a layering of reality, fantasy, exploration and celebration, an exercise in shifting shapes and forms, an acceptance of the nature of impermanence and an insistence on the absolute necessity of maintaining a sense of humor.
Here are a half dozen partial images of the work and a video of the room post-opening reception. Double click on the still images for more info about each piece. Many of the pieces have found new homes, but if you see something that interests you and would like more information, do let me know.
This show was an immense amount of fun to do. When I said eclectic, I meant it,
as well as the part about maintaining a sense of humor . . . enjoy!
